//MY MY MY LOVELY VINTAGE

Hello to our lovely readers, old and new!

Did you guys enjoy the last post of some of our photography work? It's really encouraging to hear from friends and family that they quite like our little blog!

These photos were taken in the city on a cloudy overcast day, but despite it being overcast, the lighting was still extremely beautiful.

What I want to highlight in this post, would probably be the bag and  the dress, which are both, vintage inspired looking.

This dress, was gifted to us from our lovely Aunty from Singapore, who bought these vintage dresses at a boutique or a market (if I remember correctly). She's also very much into the 'vintage' scene (I think she bought a couple of dresses for herself as well!) and we were so happy to receive these from her! My fav part of the dress would probably be the retro 60s (would you say thats the right era?) very mod-ish feel. The colours and the patterns are amazing and the dress does speak for itself.

Speaking of Singapore and vintage, there's such a retro vibe coming from that place, from markets, to  toy cameras, its really 'happening' over there! Really wish I could fly off on a plan right now and do some shopping, rather than finishing my uni essays! (I think all of us going through exams would rather fly anywhere at the moment!)

The bag was also gifted to us by another Aunty (a different one), I'm really loving the clasp on it. It's so fun and special and the colour, just wow! Another great thing about it would have to be the long strap, which makes it really easy to open and grab things out off. Really surprised, cause it could fit my camera inside!

hope you guys are having an amazing day!

have a look tomorrow, our church is holding a retro prom this friday and Vess and I will be posting some outfit ideas!

//MOON RIVER

As promised here are more pictures from our beautiful day out with the wonderful Jon and Steph! I forgot to mention in the last post that the particular park which we were shooting in is actually where Jon propsed to Steph. It's such a cute story and it did involve a bit of sneakiness on Jon's part and did involve bending down on one knee to seal the deal.

These photos here were from our final part of our photo shoot, some beach shots at St Kilda beach. I do believe we were quite ambitious and adventurous with our day, considering it was our first 'proper shoot' (as in, not just Vess or I simply galavanting through the park or streets) we tried to squeeze in as much shooting as possible. Thankfully Jon and Steph were so kind and patient with us throughout the day. Such amazing people.

Thankyou to all our supportors of B.P.S! You, my dear friends, inspire us to continue posting and updating (will attempt and do my best to be more frequent!). I guess in the winter weather, it is extremely hard to be motivated, to do, anything (that includes uni work!). But nevertheless we will push through and present to you more interesting pics of our little projects!

And to those new to B.P.S.

Welcome!

//FLY ME TO THE MOON

Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,  bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony
Colossians 3:12-14

Here is some exciting news for you guys! Vess and I a while back, tried our hand at engagement photography for one of our church friends, Jon and Steph. I'm sure there are many people out there who may relate to my "wedding obsession/fetish" and love for all things wedding-like. (Anyone else have a bookmark folder for favourite wedding photography sites?)

I think my love for weddings stems from the JOY, PEACE, and of course LOVE that God, our father shows to us. That when we see him face to face, it will be like a wedding banquet! With celebration, happiness and thankfulness of the joy of two people, celebrating one another and coming together as one.

This amazing couple, you may have remembered we took some snaps for their engagement party, are such generous, caring, beautiful people. On the day of our 'shoot', they packed us lunch (packed rolls, fruit and sandwiches), brought props and were up for anything that we threw at them.

Just from spending a few moments with them, you can feel their caring nature and kindness, just from their words and their actions to other people and to one another. Constantly, throughout the day, Jon would be asking Steph how she was, if she tired, too warm or if there was too much sun on her. And Steph would always be asking Jon if he was comfortable, feeling alright or getting sunburnt (cause "Jon burns easily").

Being high school sweethearts, they were so very playful and quirky with one another, always teasing and joking around, while not taking each other too seriously. We even took some pictures of them, holding their old high school photos, where Jon looked pretty much the same, while Steph looked slightly different (about which Jon enjoyed teasing Steph for a good few minutes).

What I love most about all of their photos, is the genuine smiles on their faces. That throughout the whole day, they would laugh at each other or the situation, taking everything in with easy going spirits, being simply happy to be, together.

Some beach photography coming soon dears!
