//LUMEIE'RE BLEUE

-Val-
Shoes: Malaysia
Scarf: Mum's Wardrobe
Blue Blouse: Market
Skirt: Cotton On
Necklace: Malaysia
Cardigan: Singapore

This would probably be one of my all time favourit shirts/blouses in the history of my wardrobe! Bought at the Take2Markets. It wasn't at an ideal bargain price ($15?) but it would have to be one of the most classy and fun pieces in my wardrobe. The colour is just perfect and beautiful for an Autumn afternoon.

I usually match this top with a flouncy skirt if I want to look a bit more whimsical or if I match it with a pair of black skinny jeans and a blazer I create a more hip , casual look. The greatest asset of this top which have to be the colour and the bow detail. It's so....quirky!

And the amazing heels are my mums', recently bought from Malaysia. I don't usually wear heels with my everyday outfits cause it makes me a tad too tall, but I love wearing them anyway.

Thanks for the comments friends! Let us know what you would like to see more of on our blog!

//ELECTRIC

“Your birthday is a special time to celebrate the gift of 'you' to the world.”

Project: Electric Birthday Cards
Aim: To appreciate and to show love to a special person
Materials: Coloured card, White Paper, Cutting knife, Glue, Poster Paint

Well, it's that time of the year when birthdays start accumulating. It's terrific because I have an outlet for the pent up creative energy in my life. Crafting, glueing, painting, designing, cutting, drawing etc., such sweet remedies for everyday stressses!

 This above creation was inspired by other crafty things I've seen in shops. Here I've used letterfont and colour to create a very nice, whimsical and quiet an electrifying card! Birthday cards are one of the most fun things to make. It's such a great way to show love and appreciation for those special people in your life.

Just wanted to let you know;
You guys are so special to us too!

 Show some inspiring love and care to those special people in your life!

//oh THE MULTITUDES

Hello awesome readers!

Just wanted to share with you what we've been up to. Miss V&V have been travelling around the beautiful city of melbourne, exploring, eating, and having a merry old time.

We were lucky enought to join our beautiful friend from A.O.H.B  on viewing her amazing uni work! But, more on that later! :)

The mega store ZARA opened in Melbourne Wednesday Morning at 9am. Was it busy? Was there excitement? Well, you can see for yourself!

We couldn't even THINK about going into the store, the line was so long! We'll wait until the hype is over and then we can venture further into there. It's so very funny that there is such a massive line. The clothes should still be there in a couple weeks time!

Another amazing happening in Melbourne is this light artwork by Bruce Ramus. It looks like a GIANT pyramid. Unfortunately we weren't able to stay until dark, so we are yet to see it all lit up! But doesn't it look great?

It was really gorgeous, within the sculpture, there are all these little lanterns, ribbion and crafty things that others have added to personalise the artwork. So it becomes a community piece in the process. How lovely is it?

More sights to be shared coming soon, until then lovelies!

//TREES OF GREEN

-Val-
Shoes: Childhood
Scarf: Gift from Milan
White Jumper: MS op shop
Jacket: Glassons
Backpack: Mum's wardrobe
Jeans: Deborah K.
Headband: Dotti

Took these shots on  the way to Uni when there were still Autumn leaves in the trees! What I think is special about these photos are the colours, the tones and the quiet and peacefulness.

Nothing really special about the outfit, probably my new jacket. I haven't bought something 'new' for so long! Most of my clothes are bought from the op shop or 'rediscovered' in my closet. And I quite like the fact that op shopped clothes are; original, unique, cheap, personal and great way to reduce our impact on the environment! They are also an awesome way to find great bargains!

Been looking through blog archives and we haven't done many crafty posts for a while! Now that Vess and I are on holidays, you'll hopefully will see some more crafty endevours soon!

Some beautiful examples of paper art. Artist's and designers, they each grasp the complexity/simplicity of the media and create some seriously beautiful work. This is only a selection of their work, highly recommend you check out their websites to be blown out of your mind.
How often do we think that we can't create beautiful things because we don't have the tools or materials.

This is so so soooooo inspiring, because...we all have access to paper!

Arm yourself with a sharp knife, some time and concentration and then,

let your imagination run wild.

//MMM.. TYPE

Hello dear readers!

Thought that it would be just ideal to share something "inspirational" for the weekend.

Stumbled upon these videos by Albin Holmqvist, and theres one word for it:

Stunning.

Simply gorgeous, the incorporation of type, story, beautiful imagery, respect, composition and lighting all combines into a marvel for your eyes. Love love love them!  Watching the Paris one in particular sent shivers down our spin and created a yearning to see the effiel tower in all it's glory!

Each video is sensational, highlighting the culture, entertainment, art, environment, and most importantly, the people. Holmqvist achieves such a harmonious unity between them, presenting so much to enjoy! After watching, you will definately feel warm tingles inside. (Or find yourself at your nearest travel agent.)

And to our dear madarin reading friends. Anyone care to share with us a translation?! :)

//BLUE STEEL

-Val-
Shoes: Rivers
Scarf: Gift from Milan
Floral Dress: Deborah K.
Necklace: Singapore
Blue Cardi: Savers

I would like to present to you my all time favourite cardigan! Bought and scored from savers, my lovely friend and fellow blogger, A.H.O.B actually saw this cardigan first and since she was saving up for a Mac, she kindly and very generously let me purchase this wonderful item!

I really quite like it very much.

It's so versatile and can go with any outfit; jeans, dress, skirt, kilt (I haven't tried but I'm sure it would look great!) etc.

and if you're wondering,

yes, I did borrow Vess' shoes.

hope you, my friends are staying warm, it's quite difficult at the moment. Have at times resorted to wearing two pairs of socks! brrhhhh!!!!!!
